What's better than a spirited ride through the beautiful NorCal roads we've been blessed with? If you want to have breakfast first, show up around 8 or so. Except for special events, the rides are generally 2-3 hours in length, and cover 100-200 miles. The rides are generally "spirited" but if we get enough participation, we generally add a second, more relaxed-pace group. Clutch out is 9:00AM, and gps route files are generally available for download on the website at least a day before the ride. Please show up with a full tank of gas.
Riders meet at the Folsom Coffee Republic before heading out to a local dining establishment 30-45 minutes away. After dinner, the riders return home on their own. Locations are chosen the previous week by the participants. Participation varies between three and 30 riders depending on the time of year and the weather. And yes, we ride in rain and during holiday periods although the groups tend to be smaller and the destinations closer by. But through it all, we haven't missed a Wednesday in over two years!
Each week's destination is usually posted in the forum on the previous Monday or Tuesday.
The Top O’ The Rockies Rally is the go-to event of the summer. The entire event takes place within the beautifully maintained City Park of historic Paonia, Colorado. Camp on the grass under large shade trees and you will find all rally activities, outdoors and indoors, just feet away. Fill your days with world-class paved or dual sport riding opportunities starting in any direction from Paonia. Evenings are comfortably cool and the beer garden in the park is the perfect place to gather and meet up with friends new and old. There are on-site food and entertainment and downtown restaurants are a short 3-block walk away.
$65 EARLY BIRD RALLY FEE PRIOR TO MARCH 22nd
"Hello Bear" is the most remembered and oft-quoted quip whenever this event is mentioned. A great getaway to the shore of Lake Tahoe: cool days, good rides, great food, and the occasional amble-in visitor.
Registration will be used to estimate food and refreshments. Please help the event planners by registering for this event. Emails with meet up and ride details will be sent to registrants.
