Monthly Club meeting at Susie's Country Oaks Cafe, 1000 Melody Lane, Roseville, CA 95678
Meeting starts more or less at 8:00 and runs till 8:30 or so, depending on what the Rafflemeister has in his goodie bag.
For $10, members wearing a name badge get 6 regular raffle tickets and 1 "big prize" ticket. No name badge, no big ticket, but you might be able to buy one? Maybe?
What's better than a spirited ride through the beautiful NorCal roads we've been blessed with? If you want to have breakfast first, show up around 8 or so. Except for special events, the rides are generally 2-3 hours in length, and cover 100-200 miles. The rides are generally "spirited" but if we get enough participation, we generally add a second, more relaxed-pace group. Clutch out is 9:00AM, and gps route files are generally available for download on the website at least a day before the ride. Please show up with a full tank of gas.
Riders meet at the Folsom Coffee Republic before heading out to a local dining establishment 30-45 minutes away. After dinner, the riders return home on their own. Locations are chosen the previous week by the participants. Participation varies between three and 30 riders depending on the time of year and the weather. And yes, we ride in rain and during holiday periods although the groups tend to be smaller and the destinations closer by. But through it all, we haven't missed a Wednesday in over two years!
Each week's destination is usually posted in the forum on the previous Monday or Tuesday.
The lodging accommodations At Morro Bay Crest Inn for our annual April Coastal Classic to Morro Bay have been reserved. We have 7 rooms on hold until April 17th, 2026, for the last weekend in April, Friday the 24th to Sunday the 26th.
So I would suggest you book your rooms early. There is always a 3 day "No Charge" cancellation policy prior to that date. Room Block will be released April 18th. Also, there is a kite festival on that weekend and rooms will be going fast.
For reservations you can call Vicki at the Morro Crest Inn at 805-772-7740 or 530-782-9965 and let her know you are with the River City Beemers group. Room rates run $128 for 1 Queen room, $138 for 2 Queen room and $150 for Ocean view room. That's the discount rate for our group.
The 2026 Memorial Poker Run will again take riders through the local California countryside as they answer questions and note landmarks on a fun morning ride.
The day starts with the May meeting at Susie's Country Oaks Cafe. Then it's over to A&S for the start of the route. GPS routes and route sheets will be available at the registration table, along with raffle tickets. Once riders have the information they need, ride the route and collect the answers to the questions. Newcomers can always hook up with a group and be welcome. If you don’t know anyone, look for someone with a blue name badge. As club leaders they can help you find a group to ride with.
Destination will be in the Newcastle area at the beautiful home of a club member. There is a $10 charge, which includes lunch and the first poker hand. You can buy additional hands for $5 each. After lunch, there will be raffle prizes, a 50/50 drawing and the prize for the best poker hand.
Although pre-registration is not required, it does help with planning for the lunch.
Bring a full tank of gas and any questions to the May meeting.
