The weather looks like it should be fantastic. Sunny with upper 60's to low 70's during the day.
We have named the Manchester Beach event in Gary Stofer's honor this year, and I personally invite you to join us if you have not registered already.
As always, RCB has paid for tent spaces in the usual spot, and members can pitch your tent wherever you find an open space after paying the KOA fee at the KOA office. Kabins probably have been booked up, but you can watch for cancellations.
RCB will provide coffee, pastries, etc. for b'fast Saturday and Sunday morning. KOA is doing the cooking Saturday night with BBQ tri tip, chicken and sides. Fred says he will be mixing up margaritas Friday night and Bloody Mary's Saturday night. If this doesn't suit your palette, various beers will be on ice. I'm hoping we also may see the return of a Manchester favorite - shake n' bake Friday night.
I hear there are $900+ in raffle prizes so if I may borrow a phrase: "Buy tickets." The winner of the mileage contest will be announced at the member meeting Saturday night, and will be receiving a gift certificate for a new set of tires.
Members volunteer to organize RCB events so we officers and Board members want to provide tools to make their job easier. Our new web site software was acquired in part with this in mind. Sixty-two people have signed up for Manchester so far, and the software took care of most of the details. I want to thank everyone for signing up on the new web site. This was its first test for organizing events, and it appeared to work easily once a few early bugs were worked out. For those who experienced difficulties, thanks for your patience. For all who signed up, many thanks.
See you at Manchester. Ride safe.
Jack
