BMW 100th birthday in Monterey 19-28 Aug

On Wednesday we ride to dinner and on Saturday we ride to breakfast. Those and any other rides are coordinated and (sometimes) reported here.

Anyone have any plans to go to the BMW 100th celebration? BMW RA, MOA and CCA are all going to be there. I'm still trying to find out what the heck is going on when, but I think I'll be there 26-28 Aug.

Jake, is it a 9 day event? What is the CCA?

BMW CCA is the BMW Car Club of America. I am planning to go to the BMWRA rally on Thursday the 25th. We are meeting at Suzies at 8, leave at 9.

So it turns out work takes precedence over my social plans and I won't be able to go the 26-28th like I was planning on... oh well, WTFCYD?

I'm here. Arrived yesterday afternoon. Had a nice ride over Mt. Hamilton, Hy. 17 then down Hy. 1 to Monterey. Rally seems OK kinda small, hopefully it picks up today.

The turnout for the rally was small. Because of that they cancelled the beer tent, food trucks and any other normal rally details.
Luckily the camping, weather, people, and venue were great. The Peter Nettleshiem vintage bike collection was awesome. There was a lot going on with the CCA including a nice collection of BMW race cars. So we had fun in spite of the problems with the rally.
