Electrical problem

First post. I have a 03 1150 GSA. Right turn signal isn't working. Traced it to the switch on the bars. I screwed up and crossed the wrong wires. Now no ambers work. All the relays are good, replaced the fuse, signal relay I replaced but it's still good. What else is there to check?

Also when the bike first starts it flashes brake failure until you drive. I was told this was normal. My old 1100 gs didn't do that, so I don't know.

The flashing brake lights on the dash should be for the ABS. They go out after you start moving. This is normal.

I'm rather a novice to the BMWs, but if you have ABS, the the brake flashes until you ride a few xx feet. I am not sure how far. My 06 RT turns off pretty quick.
I'd check for actual voltage at the lights (as opposed to replacing bulbs). Maybe switch the bulbs around?

But, now you say there is no amber lights. Do you mean None of the turn signals work now?

Yeah no signals work and the ambers usually always glow. Bulbs are all good. Before the hazard lights worked, everything but right turn signal. Not that this helps but I crossed the blue yellow stripe with the brown black stripe instead of the blue yellow stripe and brown.

Going to replace the entire handlebar assembly instead of cutting apart switches and trying to repair.

Looking at my Haynes manual, mine are centrally ground (brown wire) to battery negative. They get the power from the engine control unit into the switch (brown with a stripe, I think) out of the switch appears to be blue with a stripe.

I do have the Haynes book. The relays I moved around. If it was bad it was either #4 or the signal relay. Replaced both those. I just don't know if there is another part somewhere that could cause this, or if someone else has experienst electrical Voo Doo.

Just trying to trace this out. Bike has been Mad Maxed. But you get what you got for 4300. I removed all the wire taps, trailer hitch, feathers and still working on endless stickers. The signal problem didn't work from day one.

Allot of mechanical issues I have fixed and more to go. But the electrical is just super natural.

My cousin "Army" and myself "Marine " are going north as far north as we can, come September. I'm getting him a much better GSA.

I gutted the crazy wire taps. I removed and not joking about 10# of wire. This this had more accessory ports than a cage dancer. But the original problem of no right turn Clide is what I'm chasing.

Finally got the right side combination switch. Still no ambers or turn signals. Fuses, relays, everything is new. Guess I better bring it in. There is a short somewhere. Continuity at the lamps, just can't find it.

Fixed it. Main problem was the combi switch and the connectors are corroded.
