Bun Burner 1500 June 24-25

On Wednesday we ride to dinner and on Saturday we ride to breakfast. Those and any other rides are coordinated and (sometimes) reported here.

There are a number of women from the Gold Country Riders club that want to do a BB 1500 on June 24-25, and they are looking for a few more riders to make it to the required 10 to qualify as a group ride. This is a great opportunity to complete your first (or 101st) Iron Butt ride as I will be doing the documentation for it. All you need to do is show up on time, ride the route, provide me with a receipt from the overnight spot, and you've got it. Tentative plan is to leave Saturday (site TBD) at 6:00 AM and ride north to Portland and east to Pendleton staying over night there (800 miles). Get up the next morning and ride south to Caldwell, ID, Winnemucca NV and then west to home (700 miles) before 6:00 PM. Let me know if you are interested by either signing up below or emailing me. I think the BB1500 is actually easier than the SS1000, and could be a good tune up before you attempt a 1000 mile ride, like the one Peter is promoting to do on the way to the national rally.

This will be a fun ride, I'd do it but I'll be out of the country.

Looks like this is probably not going to happen as there are not enough riders to make a certified IBA group ride and it's getting too late to get motel reservations. We're going to look at organizing this sooner next year to get more interest. Stay tuned.
