Morro Bay Route 2013

On Wednesday we ride to dinner and on Saturday we ride to breakfast. Those and any other rides are coordinated and (sometimes) reported here.

Morro Bay is coming up! :D

You can download the route files here.

Note: We're switching to Garmin's gpx file format to accommodate newer GPS models. If you load the gpx file into MapSource, recalculate before uploading to your GPS unit.

This is a great route!

Imported the new .gpx format file into BaseCamp with no issues.

Thanks for switching to gpx Ken! It makes the route transfers much easier.

Ken, I'm confused. When I click on the route instead of it opening up in Mapsource like it used to I just see lines of code and nothing in Mapsource. Using Mapsource 6.16.3 & 2113.1 maps.

Mike, try right-clicking on the file, and choose Open with...
Then choose MapSource. You should see an option to Always open with this program. Check that and you should be good to go in the future.

Ken, I've right clicked link in both firefox & IE and each give me a different list of options but neither gives the option to "Open with".

Figured out a workaround. Choose "Save As" after right click and file is saved as a text file in "My Documents". Clicking on the file it opens in MapSource - there's the route!

Oh, you have to download it first. To do that, right-click and choose Save as, and save it to The folder where you keep your Garmin files. Then proceed as in the previous post.
Ah. I see you did it.

So, depart from Shari's at 9 AM, so if we want to get breakfast we should plan on arriving around 8 I guess. With a full tank.

I'm shooting for somewhere between 8 and 8:30. Should be plenty of time for breakfast.
Full tank? Check.
