Great ride! Low traffic, twisty roads. Does it get any better? Just two observations ...

  1. Ken, you need a new GPS. There are much more direct routes than the ones it's spitting out to you! ;-)
  2. I know we were going fast, but did we really do 643MPH??? 'Cuz that's what my GPS said when I got it home to the garage this afternoon!

Going that fast is probably why you didn't pick up the nail that I did in my rear tire somewhere between our lunch stop and Nevada City. I didn't really feel it until getting on the freeway in Auburn. Fortunately Billy Omaha followed me to A&S where I was able to buy some tires I didn't really want but Randy took care of me rather well. Aside from that it was a great ride with an unusual route and a good lunch spot, and with the good weather it made for a great day for a ride. Thanks again Ken.

Fred,

I'm sorry! I watched you peal off before Auburn but I thought it was a nature call or something. Had I known it was a nail ...

But it was an exceptional ride. The weather, the road, everything cooperated! Thanks, Ken!

Actually that was for gas, and at that time it was still holding air. It was getting on the freeway in Auburn it became apparent something was wrong so I stopped to check, and by Penryn it was almost completely flat, but I was able to ride to A&S with Billy following me. Those tires were almost gone anyway so I replaced them both.
