May meeting is history ...

May 5, 2012 - Amidst a sea of "Corbin" jokes, RCBPREZ Gordy welcomed another overflowing crowd to our May meeting. First order of business was recognition and badges for our first two Lifetime members, Randy Felice and Stan Paolini. Both had invested $499 (or more) when the club needed it and today was long overdue recognition of their generous contribution. (We'll be adding a lifetime option to the membership page just as soon as our webmaster gets off his ...)

Our treasurer reported a glowing bank balance from all the RideFest income, but worries that when the bills come due, it may be a different story. (He does that a lot - Worrying.) Membership reported 195 members which is down from last month.

In honor of former RCB member Brett Goodenough, Gordy announced that RCB had made a donation to his memorial fund. RIP, fellow motorcycle rider!

On to club activities, there was great praise for last month's Rider Clinic - Both participants and instructors agreed it was a fun event that deserves to be repeated in 2013. Gordy mentioned that RideFest signups are running slow. Please don't wait until the last moment - We need to make this a success! Speaking of RideFest, executive chef Mary Sweeney is planing Italian for Saturday dinner and Cordon Bleu with wild rice for Sunday dinner.

Next month's ride will be to Taylor State Park near the coast. Bob McCarthy has secured a number of camping spots so anyone who wants to make a weekend out of the ride is encouraged to do so.

With business wrapped up, Gordy announced the route and stops for this month's ride to A&S (inside joke, ask someone if you weren't there) ... which would be followed by the Lois Lewis memorial Poker Run ... and Susie's cleared out pretty quick. See you next month on June 2!
